Standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, Barcoma is known for her eloquence and is a broadcasting graduate from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She has competed in several beauty pageants, including Miss World Philippines 2021, before clinching her first major national crown.

An early crowd favorite, she edged out 35 other candidates from provinces and cities across the country. She succeeds Irha Mel Alfeche of Davao del Sur, who placed in the Top 12 at Miss Earth 2024, where Jessica Lane of Australia won the crown.

In the final question and answer round, Barcoma and the other Top 5 finalists answered the same question while wearing noise-canceling headphones: “How would you utilize the platform of Miss Philippines Earth to make a positive impact in the community?”

“For twenty-five years, Miss Philippines Earth has been at the forefront of environmentalism,” Barcoma said. “If I am to become a queen of the Miss Philippines Earth organization, I would like to evoke eco-consciousness to the youth. Make smart innovations and inclusive investments in the Philippines for us to be able to move forward. Because I’d like to prove that we are not just the women of the earth — we are also women of the future.”

Joining Barcoma in the elemental court are Maria Flordeliz Mabao of Antipolo as Miss Philippines Air, Angel Rose Tambal of La Paz, Leyte, as Miss Philippines Water, Jaymie Strickland of the Filipino community in Tallahassee, Florida, as Miss Philippines Fire, and Kriezl Jane Torres of Talakag, Bukidnon, as Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism.

Barcoma will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2025. The schedule and venue for the global pageant have yet to be announced.

The Philippines has previously won four Miss Earth titles, courtesy of Karla Henry in 2008, Jamie Herrell in 2014, Angelia Ong in 2015, and Karen Ibasco in 2017.
