A and Q Productions Film, Inc.’s first motion picture offering, Nelia, is one of the official films in competition in this year’s edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival.
Starring WinWyn Marquez, the suspense thriller is directed by Lester Dimaranan with screenplay written by one of its producers, Melanie Honey Quiño.
In the movie, Marquez plays the title role, a nurse whose womanly instincts and gut feel are aroused by the mysterious cases happening in the hospital where she works. To what revelations her curiosity will lead her to uncover, all of it will be unraveled in this contemporary motion picture.
“I was watching from FB Live when it was announced that we’re competing in MMFF. Of course, we were nervous because the first films announced were really big movies with big stars,”
Marquez’s said of Nelia’s inclusion in MMFF.
“When they started reading our synopsis naparecord ako bigla kasi di ako makapaniwala. Mixed emotions talaga. Kabado, tuwa, takot but very grateful that Nelia was chosen dahil alam ko buong cast and production binigay lahat nung ginagawa ang film,” she added.
Nelia features an A-list cast that includes Mon Confiado, Dexter Doria, Lloyd Samartino, Dan Alvaro, Ali Forbes, Shido Roxas, and Raymond Bagatsing.
Also in the movie are Sarah Javier, April Anne Dolot, Massey Sanshoddin, Red Atienza, and introducing Juan Carlos Galano, and Aldwin Alegre.
The movie was shot in the postcard-perfect and IG-friendly location of Gapan, Nueva Ecija. The power tandem behind A and Q Productions Film, Inc. are Atty. Aldwin F. Alegre and Atty. Mary Melanie H. Quiño.
