The Grateful Tuesdays gift and aid-giving has become a weekly event under the auspices of chemist Pinky Tobiano and co-hosts Jaya and Zephanie.
Last Wednesday, April 21, they brought joy to over 150 youth under the care of SOS Village Village in Lipa, Batangas by handing out gift packs. The initiative was led by Tobiano in coordination with Vice-Governor Mark Leviste.
Tobiano was joined by co-host Jaya and special guest Moira dela Torre just like in all undertakings of the public service online show.
During the event, the children were treated to a mini-show while receiving their gifts. They also joined Jaya and Moira in singing the latter’s hit song “Paubaya.” They were also treated to a Tiktok dance led by Tobiano and her co-host.
“The enervating fun event was challenging in coping up with IATF health and safety protocols, but it was worth it, seeing the happy faces of the children. It was so touching, we really cried,” the hosts admitted.
“The kids felt it was like an early Christmas gift to them,” Jaya noted.
“This is ‘Grateful Tuesdays’ advocacy-to bring happiness and make them feel blessed and grateful for all the gifts from our online show, amid this pandemic,” said Tobiano.
Prior to Grateful Tuesdays Season 3, they have distributed aid to the most harshly affected by the pandemic.
Over 250 jeepney drivers plying the Katipunan-Tandang Sora route were given aid when ECQ was granted to Metro-Manila plus.
Due to ECQ and lockdown in a number of barangays in Metro-Manila, many families of jeepney drivers were most badly affected.
Chemist Tobiano is making good on her promise to help the needy through their online program, especially with the growing, all-out support of its major sponsors, like The Farm of San Benito, Lyka Gems, and many more.
This gift-giving for the youth of SOS Village will be aired tonight at 7:00 in Grateful Tuesdays, which streams on the Facebook account of Cornerstone Entertainment, Chemist Tobiano, and CS Entertainment Kumu Channel.
Laptops, cash prizes, and loads can be won by lucky viewers by just tuning in.
