K-pop powerhouse IU and Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok are set to share the screen in the upcoming MBC drama “Wife of a 21st Century Prince.”
In an announcement by Kakao Entertainment on Monday, Dec. 2, the highly anticipated series is scheduled to premiere in late 2025.
According to a report by Soompi, “Wife of a 21st Century Prince” is a romance drama set in an alternate version of Korea, where the country operates as a constitutional monarchy.
The story follows an unlikely romance between Sung Hee-joo, a powerful chaebol heiress played by IU, and Lee Ahn, a prince struggling to find his place within the royal family, portrayed by Byeon Woo-seok.
Filming for “Wife of a 21st Century Prince” is set to begin in early 2025, with more details about the supporting cast and creative team expected to be revealed in the coming months.
