Win Metawin, Tu Tontawan to reunite in the Thai adaptation of ‘Scarlet Heart’

Fans may still not be getting the second season of the hit Korean drama series “Scarlet Heart” but a Thai adaptation is already in the works, which will star Thai actors Win Metawin and Tu Tontawan.

Based on the popular Chinese novel “Bu Bu Jing Xin” by Tong Hua, the exciting news was revealed on Tuesday, April 23 during GMMTV’s 2024 Up&Above Part 2 event.

The project will also mark as a reunion for Win and Tu after working together in the 2021 remake of “Boys Over Flowers”.

“Scarlet Heart” is a fantasy tale that centers around a modern-day woman who finds herself transported back in time to China’s Qing Dynasty. 

Trapped in the body of a young palace resident, she must navigate the complex world of the imperial court, all while grappling with her newfound feelings for the various princes.

The story gained international acclaim with the Korean drama adaptation “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” starring Lee Joon Gi and IU.

GMMTV also unveiled a star-studded cast which includes Nanon Korapat, Tay Tawan, Phuwin, Fourth Nattawat, Force Jiratchapong, and Perth Tanapon, further amping up anticipation for the series.

Details on the airing date and the designation of roles are yet to be released.
