‘Born To Be Wild’ gives sneak peek of its anniversary special
Doc Nielsen Donato and Doc Ferds Recio host Born to be Wild, the country’s first and only wildlife documentary series.

The travel and wildlife program kicks off its month-long anniversary celebration this tomorrow by looking back on the unforgettable places and adventures from the past 11 years.

Over the years, Doc Ferds Recio and Doc Nielsen Donato have responded to hundreds of animal rescues and vet missions and participated in various conservation projects. But there are more places to go, and there is more work to do.

For the travel and wildlife program’s 11th anniversary special, the country’s favorite wildlife veterinarians visit two locations where wildlife and environmental conservation are in focus: Nairobi, Kenya, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Doc Ferds goes to the Arabian desert to see how desert animals like camels have become part of the lives of locals. He also visits an animal hospital to observe how technology helps save their beloved Falcons.

Doc Nielsen, on the other hand, travels to Kenya’s famed national conservation parks where he encounters the big cats, giraffes, zebras, and hyenas. He and his team also witness the protection given to the last two remaining individuals of a rare species of rhino.
