Bea Binene ventures into film producing. She is behind Fading Paradise, an advocacy film that tells the story of millennials trying to find a missing island in Bicol.

Fading Paradise emphasizes that excessive waste and its improper disposal pose a threat to our lovely islands. Two best friends played by Binene and Krystal Reyes try to find the paradise island that Bea grew up in, but as they reach their destination they realize that the paradise they once knew is now just a beautiful memory.

PASSION PROJECT. Kapuso star Bea Binene produced and topbilled a film that aims to educate millennials on climate change

Coming up with the project, Bea shares that she always wanted to make something out of passion and it is primarily where Fading Paradise is rooted. Through films like this, she will be able to spread awareness and do something relevant to the recent issues that the world is facing.

“My mom and I wanted to have an indie film na may cause and gusto namin siyang i-tour sa mga schools. So we came up with the concept na magaan lang but can still educate others. So we really aim to show this to the millennials, the students,” explains the Kapuso star.

She feels grateful to have her celebrity friends join her passion project and with their help, she was able to come up with an informative film about what it is like to take advantage of nature’s beauty.
