Meet Philippines’ 12 Best Faces

It’s hard to pin down what we define as “Filipina beauty.” The faces gracing our billboards, TV screens, and magazines can vary greatly in looks—from their skin color to their facial features, and even their age. With different ethnicities having helped shape and diversify how Filipinos look, equally beautiful women can end up looking totally different from each other. So, what is the standard for Filipina beauty?

For the MAAT Golden Ratio Search for the Best Face of the Philippines, beauty is based on the ancient measure of the golden measure or divine proportion. The measurement of 1.618:1 is believed to create the harmony of proportions and symmetry that our brains are hardwired to perceive as attractive in everything from nature, architecture, to people’s faces.

After an extensive search, Merz Aesthetics’ MAAT campaign has found the top 12 finalists who have the chance to be named the Best Face of the Philippines and represent the country in the ISDS convention in Bangkok, Thailand amongst other Best Faces of Asia. Get to meet the lovely ladies who made the cut.
