Allen Dizon must be in cloud nine after making his country proud when he won the Special Jury Prize for acting along with his partner in the film Angellie Nichole Sanoy in the film Bomba (The Bomb) at the recently concluded 33rd Warsaw Film Festival.

Dizon and Sanoy are considered Best Actor and Best Actress of this A List Film Festival accredited by FIAF. They topped a heavy line up that included acclaimed Mexican actor of Y Tu Mama Tambien Gael Garcia Bernal.

Bomba director Ralston Gonzales Jover is all praises of Allen., saying. “He has mastered the art of ‘indie’ acting- with absolute subtlety and profound intensity. Effortless, subdued and heartfelt.”

He will resume shooting with Ralston Jover’s Persons Of Interest.

Bomba has no schedule of commercial release yet in the Philippines. It made noise when the film initially got an X rating from the MTRCB but during the appeals, the film got an R-13 rating. The film will do the rounds of film festivals overseas in January.

Dizon lamented, “I maybe not be a big star but the film projects I’m getting are something I can be proud of. I got international exposure in festivals on equal footing with other actors. I’m happy and fulfilled. But, I need to strive more. I’m very inspired to do more movies that I can be proud of.”
