GMA Network, Inc. Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon and his top executives recently held a successful meeting with leaders of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) led by President Domingo Yap at its corporate headquarters in Quezon City.

FFCCCII is partnering with GMA Kapuso Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the publicly listed GMA Network, Inc., to donate five public school buildings for war-torn Marawi City when the conflict ends.

WELL-MEANING PARTNERSHIP. FFCCCII President Domingo Yap with GMA Network, Inc. CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon seal their partnership in donating school buildings to Marawi as part of the rehabilitation efforts in the province.

In his speech, Atty. Gozon said he admires the hard work, business acumen and tradition of philanthropy of the ethnic Chinese minority in the Philippines, similar to other dynamic ethnic Chinese entrepreneurs all over the Asia Pacific region from San Francisco City to other parts of Asia. He cited the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. for its many charities and for partnering with GMA Kapuso Foundation in helping Marawi City.

In his speech, Yap congratulated the success and integrity of GMA Network. He said apart from FFCCCII’s donating five public school buildings for Marawi City through the GMA Kapuso Foundation, FFCCCII, on July 25 gave P100,000 for each of the 101 government soldiers and police killed in the Marawi conflict “as expression of our support, respect and solidarity.”

In December 2016, FFCCCII donated 15 school buildings for Sulu province in response to President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s call to assist that region. FFCCCII is also donating drug rehabilitation centers all over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
