Kapuso’s free TV broadcast rights to Pacquiao versus Horn fight

Broadcast giant GMA Network inked on June 15 a partnership agreement with boxing promoter ALV Events International to air the much anticipated bout between the Pambansang Kamao and boxing’s only eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and tough Australian fighter Jeff Horn aptly dubbed as the Battle of Brisbane: Pacquiao versus Horn on July 2.

GMA will exclusively air the match on free TV starting at 10 a.m. with a replay at 11 p.m. on the same day. The Network’s flagship AM station dzBB 594, FM station Barangay LS, and all RGMA stations nationwide will also air action beginning at 9 a.m. a live blow-by-blow account of the fight.

According to GMA President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., the Kapuso Network is glad that fight fans can watch Pacquiao defend his WBO Welterweight title against Horn on GMA. “Nasisiyahan tayo na sa GMA muli mapapanood ang susunod na laban ni Manny. Alam natin na nasa kondisyon si Manny at bukod tangi naman lagi ang kanyang pinakikitang performance.”

Meanwhile, ALV Events International Chairman Arnold L. Vegafria is thrilled to team up with the Kapuso Network and looks forward to Manny’s triumph next month, “We’re very excited and it’s an honor to partner with GMA. We are one with the Filipino people in praying that Manny will win in his fight against Jeff Horn.”
