Global pop artist and musician Greyson Chance has released his latest single and music video for “Holy Feeling” via Arista Records.
The soaring track, made available on Jan. 19, was written by Greyson, produced by Teddy Geiger and Chad Copelin at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Texas. The video, on the other hand, was directed by Bobby Hanaford and was shot in Los Angeles. In the video, Greyson wore Saint Laurent by Anthony Vacarello.
“Holy Feeling,” which showcases the talented singer’s vocal prowess, is the first single off of Greyson’s forthcoming album due for release later this year.
“It was a daunting task to write an album in the middle of a pandemic year, I won’t lie. But ‘Holy Feeling’ came at a time when I felt the most stuck and the most unsure of myself; in that way, it served as an awakening. I crafted my entire album around the song, both sonically and narratively,” Greyson said in a statement.
According to the 23-year-old singer-songwriter, “Holy Feeling” is about being present and focusing on the beauty of what’s in front of you, instead of what lies unknowingly in the future.
“I wrote it at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, which felt like a second home to me being from Oklahoma. I think it captures a more unpolished version of myself, and I am excited to share more of that person with this upcoming album,” Greyson explains.
Last year, Greyson completed his headlining Portraits World Tour where he performed over 115 shows across North America, Europe, and Asia. During the U.S. leg, he partnered with The Ally Coalition, and at each show, the organization introduced attendees to a charity in their respective communities in need of support. Greyson plans to embark on his next world tour alongside his new album.
A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Greyson came into the national spotlight in 2010, after an unforgettable performance of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” was viewed by over 60 million people on YouTube. What followed was a plethora of national television appearances and world tours.
In 2019, he signed with Arista Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, and last fall, released “Boots,” which Billboard called “a rollicking rock-pop banger.”
