P-pop star JL Gaspar officially entered the K-pop scene as part of the newly debuted multinational boy group AHOF.
On Tuesday, July 1, AHOF (All-Time Hall Of Famer) dropped its first extended play (EP) “Who We Are.”
A former member of the P-pop group PLUUS, JL is the only Filipino in AHOF, a nine-member act formed through the reality competition “Universe League.” He joins fellow members Steven, Jeongwoo, Woongki, Shuaibo, Han, Juwon, Chih En, and Daisuke, who were selected from a pool of 42 global contestants.
The EP features six tracks, all co-composed and arranged by noted K-pop producer EL CAPITXN, whose past credits include BTS, Tomorrow X Together, and IU.
In a previous interview with Manila Standard Entertainment, JL shared that the debut marks the culmination of his childhood dream.
“Ever since I was a kid, it’s really been my dream to become, specifically, a K-pop idol. Back then, I would just admire idols on TV. Now, I get to live that life and influence other people. It’s such a good feeling,” he said.
