BTS members RM and V were officially discharged from South Korea’s military on Tuesday, June 10, becoming the third and fourth members of the global K-pop sensation to complete their mandatory service.
The two were seen exiting the Chuncheon training center, greeting the Korean press gathered outside.
“After coming to the military, I spent time thinking and getting my body and mind back together. I want to run to ARMY as soon as possible. I want to tell them that I am truly grateful for waiting. Please wait just a little longer and I will return with a wonderful stage,” said V.
RM, who served in the military band, appeared alongside V and was seen holding a saxophone, a nod to his role during service.
The two enlisted together on December 11, 2023, and served for 18 months in the South Korean Army.
With RM and V now discharged, only three BTS members remain in service: Jimin and Jungkook, who enlisted the same day and are expected to be discharged tomorrow, June 11; and Suga, who is completing his term as a public service worker and is scheduled for discharge on June 21.
Jin and j-hope were discharged last year.
