Korean idol j-hope of K-pop powerhouse BTS brought down the house at “Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes” on Jan. 23, delivering spectacular performances at La Défense Arena in Paris, France.
Hosted by French First Lady Brigitte Macron, the charity event aims to raise funds to support pediatric hospitals and their families.
This year, j-hope was personally invited by Macron to open the gala, marking a historic moment as the K-pop icon became the centerpiece of the evening’s festivities.
He performed three songs: “on the street (solo version)” from his special album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, “MORE” from his solo debut album Jack In The Box, and BTS’ hit track “MIC Drop.”
Last October, j-hope had accomplished military duties, making him the second BTS member to complete his mandatory military service.
