LANY to return to PH for ‘A Beautiful Blur’ world tour

American pop-rock band LANY is gearing up for its return to the Philippines as part of the Asian leg of its world tour, “A Beautiful Blur.”

According to official social media posts from concert organizer Live Nation Philippines, the band will be holding two concerts in the country: one at the Philippine Arena on Oct. 12 and another at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino on Oct. 13.

The artist presale is scheduled to start on March 11 at 10:00 a.m. and will run until March 12 at 11:59 p.m. Following that, the LNPH presale will take place from March 13 at 11:00 a.m. to March 14 at 11:59 p.m. The general sale will commence on March 15 at 10:00 a.m.

Live Nation also announced that there will be limited VIP packages available, with further ticket information yet to be revealed.

LANY unveiled its “A Beautiful Blur” world tour after the release of its fifth studio album of the same name. Notable tracks from the album include “Love At First Fight,” “Alonica,” “XXL,” and “Home Is Where The Hurt Is.”

The band initiated the tour in North America, starting on Feb. 13 at The Ritz in Raleigh, North Carolina. Their Asian leg, comprising 11 shows, will kick off on Sept. 20 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

LANY last performed in the Philippines in 2022 during their “A November to Remember” tour, where they held five shows at the Mall of Asia Arena on Nov. 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16. Initially planned as a three-show set, Live Nation added two more shows due to popular demand.

The band’s name, LANY, is an acronym representing Los Angeles and New York. It consists of guitarist and lead vocalist Paul Jason Klein and drummer Jake Clifford Goss.
