Singer-songwriter Juris went solo 10 years ago, and tomorrow night she is celebrating this milestone with Metro Music Orchestra and some special guest in a concert happening at Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.
Titled Juris The Repeat, the show is directed by Ice Seguerra, who will also join the chanteuse in one of the production numbers.
“We will have this concert to celebrate my 10th year as a solo artist. Basically, if you go to the concert, you get an idea of how I started through the songs,” Juris shared with some select members of the entertainment press.
The singer-songwriter added that that the show is actually her 20th year as a singer as she started singing professionally in 1999 and eventually became one-half of band MYMP.
For the concert repertoire, Juris: The Repeat will dish out songs where the audience will get to see and hear her different styles and different tastes in music.
“We added some songs. Basically, if you are in the concert, you get the idea of how everything started through songs. Even before I became a singer, there are songs that tell the story of how I started. And from what we learned from the first show, it’s too long and from the feedback, the audience wants something na hindi sila mapapagod,” she said.
Tickets to Juris: The Repeat are priced at P5,000, SSVIP; P3,500, SVIP; P3,000, VIP; P2,500, Gold; P2,000, Silver; and P1,000, Bronze.
