Well, the concert is going to be nothing but explosive.

Hot on the heels of the highly successful 2017 tour in celebration of the band’s seminal 1987 album ‘The Joshua Tree’, Live Nation and MMI Live are excited to confirm that U2 will bring their acclaimed Joshua Tree Tour to Manila on Dec. 11 at the Philppine Arena. This will be the band’s first ever time to perform in the Philippines.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 will see U2—Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen, and Adam Clayton—make a much anticipated live return to Australia and New Zealand, and see the band return to Tokyo for the first concerts since the Vertigo Tour in 2006, as well as bring the band to Singapore and Seoul—for the first time ever— with what promises to be very special concerts from “the biggest band in the world” (The Guardian).

U2, Joshua Tree Tour
The world's biggest Irish rock band U2 is finally coming to Manila in Dcemeber.

Bono said, “It’s only taken me 30 years to learn how to sing these songs and it’s great to be able to say that I’ve finally caught up with the band. Our audience has given the Joshua Tree a whole new life on this tour. Doing these shows has been very special for us, a lot of emotion… From the despair of how relevant some of the dark songs still are, to the joy, pure fun of the staging… it’s quite a ride. Manila is a first… and that has everyone on their toes…. this has to be one of the great ones!”

“We really wanted to bring The Joshua Tree Tour to Asia.” added The Edge. “We’d always hoped that it would include a show in the Philippines and now we can finally say that we will see you in December… We are very excited.”
