DreamPlay animation characters Troll’s Poppy and Branch, Kung Fu Panda’s Po and Tigress and Shrek together with the Dreamers performed a special dance number at the DreamPlay Sing Off Grand Finals.

The competition is opening its doors to dance groups composed of children ages 7 to 14 years old. Following a preliminary screening, the top eight groups will vie for the “King Julien Dance Off Champion” title, with a total of P185, 000 in cash for the winners and other exciting prizes at stake on the Grand Final stage on June 29, 2:00 p.m. at City of Dreams Manila’s Grand Ballroom.

The preliminary round took place on June 15, wherein contestants were required to perform a dance routine with any English song that should not exceed four minutes. Eight finalists were chosen to compete at the Grand Finals, showcasing their creative routines with any English song or a mash-up of songs from DreamWorks Animation movies, such as Trolls, How To Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, Puss in Boots, or Madagascar.

The contestants were judged based on choreography (40 percent), execution (30 percent), costume (10 percent), audience impact (10 percent), and overall impact (10 percent).

King Julien’s Year 4 grand champion will receive P120,000 cash and a DreamPlay trophy. The first runner up will be rewarded with P30,000 cash and a DreamPlay Plaque; while the second runner up will be given P20,000 cash and a DreamPlay Plaque. Each of the finalists will be given P5,000 and a certificate.
