This is what the public will experience when Swan Lake, one of the most iconic ballet performances in the world—admired for its timeless tale, immaculate choreography, and haunting music—comes to New Frontier Theater, one of the most revered venues in the country.
Dubbed as the grandest ballet production in 2019, Moscow Ballet La Classique’s Swan Lake, which will run from June 14 to 22, will mark the first time that a ballet performance this extravagant will be staged at the New Frontier Theater.
Swan Lake, composed by Russian genius Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1876, depicts the story of Odette, a princess who was turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer, and her quest for true love to turn back the curse and defeat evil.
Just as the production is marked by numerous transformations and quick costume changes, audiences can also expect a reinvention from the New Frontier Theater. Considered as the premier performing arts venue in the country, the New Frontier Theater has seen various transformations over the years.

It has staged numerous concert performances from local stars such as Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Sarah Geronimo, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera, and Lani Misalucha, and international acts such as Fifth Harmony, A1, Slayer, and Charlie Puth, and the fan meets of Korean idols Dara, Nam Joo Hyuk, and So Ji Sub, among many others.
It will be an additional treat to witness how the New Frontier Theater will again transform for the staging of Swan Lake.
Choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, the Moscow Ballet La Classique production of Swan Lake will be accompanied by the Russian Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Yaroslav Tkalenko. The haunting story comes to life through the captivating performances of acclaimed Bolshoi Ballet stars Nina Kaptsova and Alexander Volchkov.
