Filipinos are both musical and sentimental in nature, and most have already been enamored by the timeless love songs of legendary Australian pop-rock duo Air Supply. That is why it is fitting that the world premiere of All Out of Love the Musical, a contemporary love story weaved through the songs of Air Supply, will be staged in the country on Oct. 18.

Air Supply debuts new hit in ‘All Out of love the Musical’
MiG Ayesa  and Rachelle Alejandro, stars in the upcoming  musical  ‘All Out Of Love.’

Headlined by a Filipino cast, which includes Mig Ayesa, Raymund Concepcion, Rachel Alejandro, Tanya Manalang, and Jamie Wilson, All Out of Love the Musical will be staging performances at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila (RWM) on a limited run.

Fifteen Air Supply songs will be performed by the cast, telling the story of embattled rocker Jamie Crimson and his struggling promoter Tommy King, and how they deal with their careers, passions, and the loves of their lives.

What many true blue Air Supply fans can look forward to is the debut of a new song written exclusively by Graham Russell for the musical. “I Was in Love With You” will be sung as a duet between Mig Ayesa’s Jamie and Rachel Alejandro’s Rayne in a touching scene that truly gives life to the song. A snippet of the new track is posted over RWM’s official Facebook page.

In an interview with rockbandsreview.com’s editor Bill Hernandez earlier this year, Graham shares his personal process as a songwriter.

“Now I pay more attention to the details,” he shares. “Once I have the story that I need to tell, then the song comes out fast. But I have to get the story right. And that is how the new song ‘I Was in Love With You’ also promises to connect to listeners by telling a compelling story of love, regret, and hope.”

Nine other songs written by Graham will be among the set of Air Supply hits featured in the musical including the title track, “Lost in Love “The One That You Love and “Now and Forever.”

Written for the stage by award-winning Canadian playwright Jim Millan, All Out of Love the Musical’s creative team also comprises Australian experts in their respective fields. Seasoned theater director and actor Darren Yap, a Green Room Awardee for best re-staging by a Resident Artist for his work on The Boy of Oz, leads the team behind the production.

“Having grown up in the ‘80s and hearing Air Supply love songs on the radio, I am excited to see these songs realized in a theatrical context,” he shared.

Tickets are now on sale for All Out of Love the Musical at the RWM Box Office and all TicketWorld outlets. Visit www.rwmanila.com or download the RWM Mobile App for more upcoming entertainment offerings at Resorts World Manila.
