Live Oscars experience with Utt Panichkul

Asian poster boy and HBO Asia's social media crew Utt Panichkul will deliver live Oscars red carpet updates on March 5.

Former VJ and currently HBO Asia’s social media crew Utt Panichkul will be on the star-studded 2018 Oscars red carpet to interview Hollywood’s elite and deliver celebrity moments to HBO Asia’s social media platforms.

On his Instagram account, the Thai-American host and actor expressed his excitement hosting the Oscars red carpet event. He uploaded a video invite and a photo that he captioned, “Oscar ready.”

Panichkul is best remembered as the face of MTV Asia and is also the poster boy of numerous fashion and lifestyle products in Asia. In addition, he is also an established actor with appearances in over a dozen dramas in Thailand and Singapore.

For the biggest film event in Hollywood, Panichkul will share exclusive photos and Oscars® red carpet moments including video interviews with celebrities, behind-the-scene pictures from the red carpet and heartfelt celebrity shout outs. These will be available on the network’s social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

Oscars® fans who hunger for more than just watching the ceremony on their television on HBO can concurrently view exclusive online content on HBO Asia’s dedicated Oscars website, which will feature an exclusive webcast of the star-studded ceremony including backstage interviews with the winners as they come off stage after accepting their awards, clips showcasing major moments of the Oscars ceremony, and raw feed from the Academy’s Thank You Cam.

For the fourth year in succession HBO Asia delivers the ultimate Oscars® experience ‘live’ and exclusive across multiple screens on TV and connected mobile devices on HBO Asia’s network of channels and online platforms. 

On March 5, The 90th Academy Awards® will stream ‘live’ on HBO GO and will also be broadcast ‘live’ and exclusively on HBO starting with the Oscars® Red Carpet ‘Live’ from 7:30 a.m. followed by The 90th Academy Awards® ‘Live’ at 9 a.m.. Both programs will encore that same night on HBO at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively. Exclusive Oscars® web content will also be available on HBO Asia’s dedicated Oscars® website (www.hboasia.com/oscars).
