American pop star Ariana Grande is scheduled to hold a one-night only concert on Aug. 21 at the Mall of Asia Arena as part of her Dangerous Woman Tour

However, the 23-year-old singer is heartbroken over the terrorist attack that took place during her recent concert in Manchester, England that left 22 people dead and more than 50 injured. In fact, she has already suspended her show’s European leg.

In a statement released by concert promoter MMI Live, it said that the two-night Dangerous Woman Tour at The O2 Arena and the succeeding concerts in Switzerland have all been cancelled due to the terrorist attack.

“Due to tragic events in Manchester, the Dangerous Woman Tour with Ariana Grande has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost. We ask this time that we all continue to support the city of Manchester and all those families affected by this cowardice and senseless act of violence. Our way of life has once again been threatened but we will overcome this together,” the statement said.

The statement did not mention whether or not the suspension will affect Ariana Grande’s Manila concert as well as the other concerts that are supposed to be staged in the region.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday it can help secure the August concert of the American pop star following the deadly attack after her concert in England.

In a statement shared with the local press, PNP’s spokesperson asked concert organizer MMI Live to coordinate with the local police unit for them to extend security assistance to ensure the safety of concert goers.
