‘Sex Talks with Dr. Holmes’ back for a provocative 2nd season

HOOQ, Southeast Asia’s leading video-on-demand service, has recently launched the second season of Philippines HOOQ Original Sex Talks with Dr. Holmes, now available to stream on HOOQ’s free tier.

Sex therapist, best-selling author, clinical psychologist, and columnist Dr. Margarita Holmes is back with her unbridled and sometimes irreverent advice on Sex Talks with Dr. Holmes Season Two. The first season became the number one streamed show on HOOQ Philippines within the first week of airing. Due to popular demand, Sex Talks with Dr. Holmes Season Two gives HOOQ customers more non-fiction sex comedy, with an increase from 10 to 16 episodes, addressing questions viewers are too shy to ask, but are too curious to just leave alone.

Dr. Holmes is a professor of psychology at undergraduate and graduate levels, and taught at universities in the Philippines and the United States. She is currently a columnist at Playboy,, Abante, and Abante Tonite, as well as a Psychology professor at the Graduate Program of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

During her illustrious career, Dr. Holmes has written 20 bestselling books, the best known of which are “

Life Love Lust, the first book written on love and sex in the Philippines and Down to 1: Depression Stories, the first book written about clinical depression in the country. Her most recent books include “Love Triangles” and “Imported Love” which she co-wrote with her husband Jeremy Baer.

Sex Talks with Dr. Holmes takes a humorous but informative approach to addressing key issues around taboo topics. Every episode includes a funny personal short film involving depictions of real-life dilemmas and questions sent to Dr. Holmes. Through creative reenactments, animations, and straight-to-camera conversations, Dr. Holmes offers candid albeit expert advice.
