Pinoys among top BTS fans in the world

Since their channel creation in December 2012, BTS YouTube channel Bangtan TV has already garnered 10 million subscribers, making them the first Korean boy group to reach such milestone on YouTube. Pinoy K-pop fans are showing strong support, even making it to the top ten audience of  the group alongside fans from South Korea, United States, and Japan.

Bangtan TV accumulated 2.5 billion views as of Aug. 18 and is “one of the Top 20 viewed artists in 2018,” according to a statement released by YouTube.

In the same statement, YouTube noted that in 2018, 94 percent of the views of the BTS channel came from overseas and  from Jan.18  to Aug. 18, the top 10 countries with most views of Bangtan TV are the US, Vietnam, Japan, Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Brazil, Philippines, Thailand and Argentina. 

The top 10 cities with most views are Jakarta, Indonesia; Bangkok, Thailand; Seoul, South Korea; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Lima, Peru; Hanoi, Vietnam; Quezon City, Philippines; Santiago, Chile; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Surabaya, Indonesia. 

In addition, the top five most watched music videos of BTS are “Fake Love,” “DNA,” “MIC Drop” (Steve Aoki Remix), “Fire” and “Dope.”

Meanwhile, BTS continued their streak on Billboard 200 when their album Love Yourself: Tear placed 84th, their 13th consecutive placing on the chart. Their previous album Love Yourself: Her placed 169th on the chart. BTS revealed the artwork and tracklist for their upcoming album Love Yourself: Answer, the final installment of the Love Yourself trilogy.
