Darren Espanto engages and inspires young talents in new digital show

With all the available entertainment platforms -- digital and traditional -- it’s so much easier to groom a star. It’s similar to creating music these days. Since necessary tools have become more accessible, anyone can just make and promote their own music.

Bearing this in mind, the real question that begs to be answered is, will the entertainment consumer buy the product? Will they show patronage to the star across multimedia platforms?

The entertainment market is already saturated with talents gunning for the big-time, making it more difficult for newcomers to break out and for the more established ones to keep themselves afloat.

But this does not seem to concern Darren Espanto.

Singer Darren Espanto is your digital heartthrob in ‘TNT Pop Show.’
In March last year, before the hard lockdown was imposed in the capital region, the singer returned to his hometown of Calgary in Alberta Province to spend time with his family and parents who are both medical frontliners in Canada.

Despite being away, Darren, who just turned 20 on May 24, was still so much visible. And since most events were done digitally, it’s as if he did not leave the country at all. He scored endorsements, hosted shows, and even promoted his music.

And now that he’s back in the Philippines, Darren is ready to give his all, and fans can expect more than just social media updates.

Digital heartthrob

Ahead of the premiere of the reality talent show PoPinoy, mobile brand TNT launched TNT POP Show, a new digital show that dishes out much-needed ‘saya vibes’ and inspiring stories of Filipino youth as they chase their big dreams.
