Ultimate search for the next TV and movie stars is backA few reality TV icons have become some of the biggest celebrities in Philippine showbiz today. While others have faded into obscurity, those who dreamt for the stars and believed in their talents have survived.

Sounds familiar? Well, that’s the tagline of StarStruck, “dream, believe, survive.”

The talent reality search that started it all is back.GMA Network brings forth a brand new season of its original reality-based artista search, which still hosted by Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado, who was a product of the program’s first season.

For the new season, StarStuck introduces a tougher, more exciting competition that promises diverse and entertaining challenges, a thrilling judging system, real-life drama, and interesting reality-based stories as hopefuls compete to become the next Ultimate Female and Male Survivors.

No less than three of the entertainment industry’s most respected personalities – Heart Evangelista, Cherie Gil, and Jose Manalo – will take their seats as this season’s StarStruck Council. As judges, they will be mentoring the finalists and be involved in the story-telling of the program.

Young actress Kyline Alcantara joins the program as the StarStruck Insider, the host of Starstruck’s online show, Inside StarStruck. It premieres on June 10 on the show’s official Youtube channel every Monday to Friday at 6:00 p.m.

Out of thousands of auditionees across the country, 11 boys and 11 girls were chosen through a series of demanding tests dubbed as the ‘StarStruck Experience’. After the grueling process, these 22 hopefuls will face their final audition on the pilot episode as they compete for a rightful spot in the Final 14.

Viewers will be able to vote and take part in the judging process as they watch the finalists physically transform on-air through workshops and challenges to help them look and perform better as the reality search unfolds every week.

Dream, believe, and survive anew with StarStruck Season 7 beginning June 15, every Saturday after Daddy’s Gurl and every Sunday after Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko, on GMA-7.

‘The Clash’ auditions in Cebu, Batangas and Metro Manila

More and more Filipinos are auditioning for the much awaited Season 2 of GMA Network’s hit singing competition The Clash.

Today, Cebuano hopefuls who aspire to follow the footsteps of fellow Cebuana and The Clash Season 1 Grand Champion Golden Cañedo are encouraged to join the auditions at Robinsons Galleria from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.. Director Bert de Leon will be a part of the screening panel while balladeer Christian Bautista and Jong Madaliday will be serenading the crowd in the Queen City of the South. 

Tomorrow (June 16), The Clash is ready to discover aspirants in Batangas. Joining the auditions at Xentro Mall is screening panelist Jai Sabas-Aracama while The Clash alumni Garrett Bolden and Anthony Rosaldo will have special performances.

Meanwhile, the Manila-leg of the auditions will be held on June 21 at the Sky Dome, SM North EDSA, Quezon City. Jay Durias, Jai Sabas-Aracama, and Bert de Leon will form the screening panel, while Golden Cañedo, Jong Madaliday, and Garrett Bolden will be there as well to help inspire the hopefuls.

The competition is open to all male and female Filipinos, amateur and professional singers, 16 years old and above. Interested applicants need to bring the original and photocopy of their birth certificate and one recent photo (4R half body). They also need to prepare at least two songs for the audition with minus-1 on a USB flash drive.
