Has Bea Alonzo already called it quits with Dominic Roque? Is their destination wedding still pushing through? Where is Bea’s engagement ring? Why did Dom turn off the comment section on his Instagram?
These questions emerged after we posted our interview at the launch of OPPO Reno11 Series 5G, where Bea Alonzo and Nadine Lustre were introduced as the faces of the brand’s latest flagship phones.
We asked Nadine first about how she felt collaborating again with the brand and what she thinks of the idea of her and Bea doing another project outside their Oppo endorsement.
“Let’s see. Bea is focusing a lot on her businesses pero tingnan natin, merong opportunity dyan,” the all smiles Nadine said.
The same question was asked to Bea, and the 36-year-old actress’s eyes lit up as she said that she loved the idea.
“I’d really love to work with Nadine. I’m a fan. I love her, I love her style and I like the way she has evolved as a woman. I hope we get an offer [to do a project together],” she said.
But the exciting part came when we asked the actress about how her wedding preparations were going. She straightforwaerdly said, “Wala pa, wala pang plano.”
Bea revealed that there were no concrete plans yet and emphasized the importance of equality in a relationship. When asked about Valentine’s Day plans, Bea hinted at potential scheduling conflicts due to their busy lives.
“Wala pa rin talaga. Parang taping day nga namin yan eh.”
Concerning specific wedding plans, Bea opted to keep details under wraps, reiterating, “Wala pa talaga kaya wala akong ma-share.”
When discussing the responsibility of organizing wedding plans, Bea underscored the significance of equality in a relationship, stating, “I think it’s a two-way relationship. Hindi lang dapat lalaki [ang may effort]. We are pushing for equality. So equality means yung effort equal [equal effort]. In our relationship, there’s no one making more effort than the other.”
Regarding potential guests, Bea replied, “Alam mo wala pa talaga. I can’t tell you anything just yet.”
When probed about her ideal wedding, Bea mentioned, “I’ll tell you kapag meron na akong idea. Right now, wala pa.”
In her vlog in September 2023, Bea shared her desire to exchange vows with Dominic in 2024. The engagement between the couple took place in Quezon City in July 2023. While Bea has chosen to keep details about their wedding discreet, Dominic has conveyed their active involvement in preparations and has mentioned extending an invitation to Kathryn Bernardo, excluding Daniel Padilla.
“The wedding is happening outside Metro Manila, the guest list is not yet complete, but our best friends, families, and relatives are going to be there. Next week, we’ll go full swing with the planning,” Dominic shared in an interview with Manila Standard Entertainment on Jan. 20.
The actor mentioned that a lot of their friends are trying to help out with the wedding planning and preparations, making it easier for the couple.
‘Sometimes, she gets annoyed with me because she feels like I’m not too involved, but every woman has a dream wedding, and Bea has one. We’re just thankful that a lot of our friends are involved in this. It’s her dream [wedding], so I’m giving it to her; we’re doing it together,” Dominic said.
Meanwhile, talent manager Ogie Diaz, referencing our interview, mentioned on his YouTube channel that, according to his reliable source, Bea and Dominic have called it quits.
