Movie director Easy Ferrer is tackling a relevant topic in his latest Vivamax project, Stalker, a four-part sexy comedy-thriller series headlined by Kitty K-7 star Rose Van Ginkel and Boy Bastos lead actor Wilbert Ross.

In a virtual press conference held last week, Ferrer admitted that the original idea of Stalker was morbid and very dark, but along the way, they decided to make it a sexy comedy to give it a lighter treatment.

“We are not condoning stalking. We are just looking into the idea in an effort to understand why these things happen. Why do people commit such? We made it comical lang para mas entertaining,” Ferrer explained.

The series wanted to answer the question: What happens when an obsessive person develops strong feelings for someone?

It’s the story of a young man with a dark and mysterious past who develops a deep infatuation with a seductive woman.

Harry (Wilbert Ross) is an IT expert at a BPO company. Even if he’s a handsome young man, he often shies away from others because of a skin condition that gives him insecurities and a lack of self-esteem.

Though he always keeps to himself, he has some serious issues of sexual perversion, which often leads him to fantasize about being with women. He also sometimes makes a way to get closer to them in his own way.

One of those women Harry fantasizes about is Apple (Rose Van Ginkel) – easy on the eyes, beautiful, and teasing. Apple appears to be very fun-loving and confident, but she also has this enigmatic personality that makes people more into her. Just like her name, she is the Apple of the eye of many men, and Harry is no exception.

Harry’s admiration for Apple turns into an obsession, and now he follows her secretly wherever she goes. In short, he becomes her stalker.

Also joining the cast are Mark Anthony Fernandez, Yayo Aguila, Nico Locco, Gwen Garci, Keanna Reeves, Millen Gal, Chloe Jenna, Rash Flores, and Shienna Yu.

Stalker premieres exclusively on Vivamax on February 26.
