Jenner sisters launch clothing lineKendall + Kylie, by the social media moguls and reality TV stars, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, is in the Philippines.

Kendall and Kylie have been handling their own contemporary clothing line since 2015. It all started back in 2012 when Kendall + Kylie had a collaboration with Pacsun—a California-based lifestyle brand, which sprouted multiple follow-up seasons and created a larger fan base for both sisters. Three years later, the Jenner sisters had another collaboration with British-born retailer, Topshop. Since then, Kendall + Jenner, both sisters and brand, progressed incredibly fast.

Famous Jenner sisters Kylie and Kendall’s clothing line is now available in the Philippines

The line incorporates Kendall’s feminine and classic style as well as Kylie’s edgy streetwear. Confident, stylish, on-trend and in charge is how the siblings would describe their brand. On top of the mostly casual style – crop tops, jeans, dress, jackets, they also offer swimwear and bags. The main style highlights are sports luxe and athleisure with sports luxe comprising mostly of popper trousers, cold shoulder tops, and crop tops. Athleisure, on the other hand, has A-line mini-skirts, wide leg trousers, off-shoulders, woven blouses, and puff sleeves. The palette is mostly black and white with a pop of red, yellow, orange, and hot pink.

Given Kendall and Kylie’s social media reach and fashion influence, it is a nice early Christmas treat for the fans of Jenner sisters to be able to wear the type of clothes the millennials sisters wear.

Kendall + Kylie available at Case Study at Bonifacio High Street Central and The Rail stores. Items start at P 899.

Bong Go on promotion, protection of local movie industry

Former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go expressed his support for the Philippine movie industry and announced his intention of encouraging more film festivals to be staged to promote quality Filipino films.

This he said at the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal (Awards Night) at The Theatre at Solaire.

“Una sa lahat, gusto kong magkaroon ng ganitong mga festival para bigyan pa ng opportunities ‘yung pelikulang Pilipino na bumangon muli. Ang dami ko pong kaibigan na artista at marami silang hinaing po na sana bumalik na (ang sigla) ng industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino,” Go told members of the media.

Go added that he has been discussing with various luminaries in the industry, some of whom he considers his friends, to share ideas and craft ways to strengthen the industry, which is currently facing stiff competition not only from foreign movies screened locally but also from legal and illegal online streaming platforms.

If elected, he said, “I will push for strategies to crack down on illegal businesses and strengthen the campaign against piracy.”

“We need to amplify the quality of Philippine cinema, especially to our youth. If we are to uniquely identify ourselves as Filipinos, we need more Filipino-made films,” Go said.

Bong Go was a juror at the recent 2018 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.

As a candidate in the 2019 midterm elections, Go’s legislative agenda covers programs for health, agriculture, housing, education, long-term sports development, localized peace talks, fire protection and prevention, creation of a Department of OFWs, barangay welfare, as well as improved benefits for senior citizens.
