The Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders (LGBT) will have their day on the streets tomorrow, as Quezon City, thanks to Councilor Mayen Juico, declared the day LGBT Pride March.

This will be open to clans, families and organizations who want to show their support to the LGBT Filipino community.

According to LGBT advocate Juico, this year’s pride march is dubbed as “Pride in QC: Safe and Free” and will feature the gay and straight community, non-profit organizations, LGBT service agencies, civic groups, LGBT organizations and churches.

“Quezon City being the most gay-friendly city in the Philippines, our vision is to have the pinakakilalang pride march in the whole country,” said Juico at the press conference at Pork @ Your Own Risk Resto on Lascano St. in Quezon City.

EMBRACING DIVERSITY. Committed to protecting the rights of its constituents, especially the LGBT community, the QC government envisions the city to be most gay-friendly city in the country

Mr. Gay World 2017 John Raspado will lead the pride march. Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman and host Boy Abunda have been invited to the event, which will also showcase a fashion show and entertainment.

Spearheaded by the Quezon City Pride Council, the 2017 QC LGBT Pride March is a testament of the city’s commitment in upholding the rights of all Filipinos regardless of gender identity.

The city government headed by Mayor Herbert Bautista is committed to protecting the rights of its constituents, especially the LGBT community.
