She is happy with what she is doing now on ABS-CBN. Hosting the baby reality show called Bet On Your Baby, that’s what.

She could have said ‘no” to this project and insisted on reviving the aborted soap opera when she got pregnant more than a year ago, but the drama actress who had an issue with weight chose the “baby” show instead.

“It’s close to my heart,” she said, “since I am nursing a baby now,” ending it with the Juday-patented giggle.

This is Juday’s come back to television, ABS-CBN’s cutest game show.

“I’m so excited to be working on TV again. I was gone for more than a year so it feels good to do a show again that is close to my heart. I hope one of your kids can join us in the Baby Dome,” said Juday at the press con before the new season piloted last weekend.

Encantadia ends tonight. But some fans of the show can’t get enough, it seems.

A group that refers to its members as Encantadiks is asking GMA Network for another sequel.

I got e-mail from Roberto E. Evangelista (Administrator Encantadia 2016, official Facebook group). The mail said that the group’s petition for a sequel has reached 5,000 signatures.

Rocco Nacino plants a kiss on Sanya Lopez's cheek during an event for "Encantadia"

But, of course, we don’t know if the Kapuso network will do a sequel soon. I will, I am sure, but perhaps after two years or maybe even less, if the network’s creative group can’t think of something more original.

Meanwhile, love teams in the show are blooming even off screen, like the tandem of Rocco Nacino and Sanya Lopez. The actor vowed he’d have Sanya all to himself in Canada where they’re headed right after the finale of the show.

“Oo naman, excited ako kasi apart from work, at least this time makakapag-bonding kami ni Sanya at magkakapagkwentuhan,” the actor said.

Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) production of the family musical Annie took home five awards out of 10 nominations at the recent 9th Gawad Buhay Awards.

Annie was cited as Best Female Featured Performance in a Musical for Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo; Outstanding Ensemble Performance for a Musical; Female Lead Performance in a Musical for Krystal Brimner; Outstanding Stage Direction of a Musical for Michael Williams; and Outstanding Production of an Existing Material for a Musical.

The win added more recognition for the musical after winning the Discoveries of the Year award for Krystal Brimner and Isabeli Araneta-Elizalde, and the Best Foreign Musical Production prize in the 29th ALIW Awards last year.

Krystal Brimner, who played the role of Annie, was overwhelmed when she received her Female Lead Performance award, at times rendered speechless by the citation. “I was totally not expecting this and I’m sharing this award with Beli,” she said, acknowledging her co-star and alternate Isabeli Araneta Elizalde who was likewise nominated for the same category.

Prior to its win at Philstage’s Gawad Buhay Awards, Annie was awarded the Asia-Pacific Communications award in Singapore, the Asia-Pacific Excellence Awards in Hong Kong, the Gold Stevie Award trophy, and an Anvil award for the viral video #brightertomorrow. It also garnered the Bronze Stevie Medal for its Souvenir Programme and Activity Book.

This year, RWM is set to stage another family musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the NPAT. For more upcoming RWM entertainment offerings, visit www.rwmanila.com or call the Tourist/Visitor Hotline at (632) 908-8833.
