NEARLY three weeks had passed after Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera were wed in a ceremony that had left a lot of raised eyebrows and held a grand reception at the Mall of Asia Arena that had nearly everyone’s jaws dropping on the floor.
Now, those who weren’t invited to either the ceremony of reception can watch the wedding of the year on GMA Network’s TV station.
The special is divided in two parts. The first was on the church ceremony and aired last Saturday at 8:15 p.m. after Magpakailanman.
Wedding Special The Celebration this Saturday
The feature began with video of the bride and groom’s wedding attire, the bride’s dramatic entrance to the church, and the couple’s first kiss after the officiating prelate declared them man and wife.
The special titled Dingdong And Marian Wedding Special The Ceremony also featured the preparations and fun moments of Dingdong and Marian hours before they walked down the aisle.
It afforded the audience access to the people behind Dingdong’s success in fulfilling Marian’s dream wedding including his live TV proposal to Marian, their prenuptial shoot and Marian’s meeting with her wedding gown designer in Dubai, and the gathering with their principal sponsors.
It also showed how Dingdong arrived and got inside the Immaculate Conception Cathedral and the entrance of Marian in her fairytale-inspired wedding dress. Apart from that, the special showed an exclusive look at the couple’s exchange of vows as they professed their absolute love for each other and then the long-awaited screen-like kiss.
On Jan. 24, it’s the couple’s grand reception at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The second part of the special is called Dingdong and Marian Wedding Special The Celebration.
The special features a never-before released pre-wedding interview of the couple, their friends, celebrity guests as well as details from the creative team behind the reception.
The audience will hear the couple’s fairytale love story from their dearest friends and loved ones —Marian’s maids of honor—Roxanne Barcelo, Ana Feleo and Joy Santos; and Dingdong’s groomsmen—Marvin Lanuza, Harvey Camposano, and Angelo Dantes—while Marian’s father, Francisco Javier Alonso Gracia, delivers a message to his daughter.
Also, watch as the couple present the now controversial 3D-mapped wedding cake featuring the different pre-nuptial videos shot in Pampanga and Dubai, as well as the special short films made by one of the couple’s principal sponsors and good friend, Bb. Joyce Bernal.
Part two features Marian’s surprise for her groom, while Dingdong surprises Marian with a special gift—an original song and a special performance by Marian’s favorite band—the Aegis.
Gabby Eigenmann, Bettina Carlos, KC Montero, Tim Yap, Janno Gibbs and Ogie Alcasid, the couple’s closest of friends hosted the program that was spiced up with performances by Jaya, Christian Bautista, Noel Cabangon, Julie Anne San Jose, Gloc-9, Marc Abaya, Jay Durias, and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
