GMA Regional TV keeps its tradition of gathering its brightest stars to jazz up Cebu City’s Sinulog Festival and hopes to top the previous years’ participation in terms of grandness.

Cebuanos have a three-day blast with Kapuso celebrities who have gone to the Queen City of the South for the Sinulog festivities.

Last Friday, teen stars Kristoffer Martin and Joyce Ching with Angelika de la Cruz from the upcoming drama series Healing Hearts started Kapuso’s Sinulog revelry at 5 p.m. in a Kapuso Mall Show at the Ayala Terraces. Adding extra sizzle to the event is no less than Regine Velasquez-Alcasid plus impersonator Ate Redg.

Yesterday, GMA offered back-to-back mall shows at the Gaisano Grand Mall in Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City at 3 p.m.and followed by another one at 5 p.m. at SM City Cebu.

The lead stars of Second Chances led by MMFF 2014 Best Actress Jennylyn Mercado with Camille Prats, Rafael Rosell, and Raymart Santiago were at the forefront of the shows. GMA’s youngest love team Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali with Once Upon a Kiss co-stars Albert “Betong” Sumaya and Mike “Pekto” Nacua also joined the merriment.

Today Miguel, Bianca, Betong, and Pekto hop aboard a float that will cruise along the major streets of the city for the Kapuso Parade participation.

“Every year, GMA consistently makes it a point to not only be visible but more importantly be involved in the country’s biggest festivals. And what better way to do this than by bringing the Network’s most promising stars to touch base with their fans in Cebu and to let them witness the awe-inspiring devotion of the Filipinos to Sto. Niño. With this, we hope for a successful and enjoyable Pit Señor for everyone,” says Oliver Amoroso, GMA Regional TV AVP and Head of Regional Strategy and Business Development Division.

Highlights of GMA’s participation in the Sinulog Festival will be seen in Let’s Fiesta TV Special which airs on Jan. 25 via the Network’s regional stations in Bicol, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Dagupan, Ilocos, GenSan, Bacolod, and CdeO.
