In the recent virtual media conference for the third anniversary celebration of the hit GMA sitcom Daddy’s Gurl, Maine Mendoza admitted to being speechless when she heard Vic Sotto’s comment that she is a natural comedienne.

“Of course, coming from Bossing, I don’t know how to react,” she said. “In most cases, we’re always critical. If we are to do something, we feel that our efforts are not enough. And it brings warmth to the heart knowing that there’s someone who appreciates what we do. Thank you Bossing for the kind words,” Maine gushes.

Until now, the Phenomenal Star cannot say that she’s already an excellent comedienne.

Maine Mendoza is described by co-star Vic Sotto as a ‘natural comedienne.’

“Yes, honestly, I don’t! Every time that we are going to do something, we are always the critic. You don’t know if you’re delivering it right. If they say that I’m doing a good job, or whatever growth that I achieved, I owe it to Bossing Vic. In the first place, it’s because of them why I’m in my present state. They bring out the best in me,” she states.

Interestingly, Maine reveals that until now, she still feels nervous when doing scenes with Vic.

“It’s always there. It won’t fade away. But it’s not his fault if he’s intimidating. His charm and natural presence is just so strong. When he’s around, you don’t know how to react,” Maine admits.

In another light, the bubbly star is thankful that even if we’re still in pandemic times, her workload is still full, something that cannot be said of other showbiz denizens. Apart from her television shows, she has numerous endorsements.

“I’m simply blessed! It’s just a matter of time management and mindset as well. Even if I have lots of projects to attend to, I’m still able to do all of them. I’m grateful to Triple A for the smooth flow in my load. They give me balanced work. At the end of the day, I’m thankful that I remain busy despite the challenging times,” she says.

“At this point, the more I appreciate my work. There are lots of my fellow actors who don’t have projects. In these pandemic times, we just have to make the most of the opportunities that we are given. Even if at times, you feel so tired and things get physically taxing, just remember those who are jobless. We must learn how to value whatever it is that we have right now,” Maine ended.
