In a recent virtual press conference, lovebirds Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo revealed that the pandemic has further strengthened their relationship.

“I think nothing can beat the challenges brought about by COVID-19 among us in the last seven months. Jen and I are lucky that we are able to face them together and still remain happy,” Dennis said.

What are the important realizations that they’ve made due to the current situation?

“Perhaps, it’s all about being strong and resilient. This time of pandemic, we are tested to the hilt. As I’ve said, Jen and I are lucky to be together in this journey. Our relationship has become stronger. I think, with this experience, we can overcome all possible trials and difficulties that would still come our way.

“This pandemic is definitely a very huge challenge to any couple like us. To remain strong despite its presence is already a reason to celebrate. When you are able to pass this, there is nothing you can’t face in the future. And it’s essential that you are able to handle things together happily.”

One challenge that they’ve passed during these tough times is the adverse effect of the quarantine on their café shop.

“Dennis and I co-own it. We just opened last February and we’re really affected because of the imposed quarantine. But we’ve faced it squarely. Actually, the best realization I have during this pandemic is that all material or luxurious things don’t matter anymore. What’s important is that you’re with your loved ones and you’re safe and healthy,” Jen averred.

The power couple recently starred in the GMA week-long drama offering I Can See You: Truly. Madly. Deadly. According to them, it’s relieving that they’re together in one project in their respective boob tube comeback. Their last soap together was My Faithful Husband in 2015.

“Guess it reflects on the quality of work we put in. Because our relationship is solid, all our habits either positive or negative we learn to carry in our job as actors. It works effectively for us! It’s good for the production since they didn’t have difficulties in convincing us to do some intimate scenes since our roles in the said mini-series are lovers. The scenes turned out to be more realistic and engaging,” the two ended in unison.

After being with ABS-CBN for a long time, Khalil Ramos recently inked a management contract with GMA Artist Center.

Yes! The former Star Magic talent is the new artist referred to in the teaser posted by GMAAC weeks ago who was said to be joining the Kapuso network’s talent management arm.

In the teaser which read, “may bagong Kapuso…malapit n’yo nang maKilala”, it was noticeable that the letter K was prominent, which served as a clue for the public. While others thought that it was Iñigo Pascual, many still came up with the right guess that it’s Khalil.

With this development, Khalil’s girlfriend Gabbi Garcia who’s a GMA talent is happy. She is the first to send her congratulations to her boyfriend. In her recent post on Twitter, the lovely star said: “always proud of you, my love! Welcome to GMA, @TheKhalilRamos”

Before his transfer, the talented singer-actor had long been identified with the Kapamilya. He first made waves when he won second place in the 2011 edition of Pilipinas: Got Talent. From then on, his career in the ‘biz soared.

Apart from releasing songs, he was tapped to be part of successful soap operas like Anna Liza, Princess and I, A Love to Last, Pangako sa ‘Yo, La Luna Sang-gre, and Bagani. His last series for ABS-CBN was Make it with You with Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.

She’s Dating the Gangster, Everything About Her, Kid Kulafu, A Second Chance, 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten, The Achy Breaky Hearts, and LSS: The Movie are some of his memorable films.
