Gerald Anderson comes clean

In a recent guest stint in the popular morning show Magandang Buhay where he promoted his latest soap A Soldier’s  Heart, Gerald Anderson admitted that he really had misgivings in his controversial breakup with former girlfriend Bea Alonzo but insisted that he should not be solely blamed.

“Until now, there are nights when I’m still thinking of how I could’ve handled our relationship better before. I’m not perfect. There are moments when I ask myself what I could have done better,” Gerald said.

“And then, as time passes by, I realize that there are always two versions to an issue. Every person has a different perspective when it comes to relationships. I believe that it takes two to tango. A relationship doesn’t fail just because of one person. The other party is also accountable.”

Gerald hit the headlines last year because of his split-up with Bea. He was accused of “ghosting” because according to reports, he just stopped talking to the actress. He received a lot of flaks due to this. Fortunately, he found some sort of a support group on his A Soldier’s Heart co-stars like Carlo Aquino, Elmo Magalona, Nash Aguas, Yves Flores, and Vin Abrenica.

“During that testy period in my life, they were there for me. They were good listeners. You can just imagine how heavy I felt during those times and it’ll just be worse if I didn’t have people to turn to. You’ll definitely explode. So I’m very thankful for their presence,” the 30-year-old actor said.

Actually, in the beginning, he sought advice from these guys but didn’t reveal that it was him who was the true subject.

“One time, I opened up and told them that a friend of mine was having some trouble with his love life. They were generous enough to give their advice. That helped me feel better. I realized that I wasn’t the only one going through the same ordeal. It was relieving. I just admitted the whole thing to them when the news about the split-up broke out,” he said.

According to the actor, his support group gave him the needed strength to overcome the odds.

“They gave me good company during the low point in my personal life. Just the mere sight of them calmed my senses. We would just play basketball during lull breaks on the set or dine out. It really felt good that I have friends like them.”

In everything that he’d been through, the Kapamilya star learned an important lesson.

“God will give you challenges at the right time. He gives the worst trials to the strongest soldiers,” Gerald stated.

No politics

For ten years now, Ejay Falcon has been giving Christmas gifts to his fellow natives of Pola, Oriental Mindoro. This apart from sponsoring basketball leagues featuring his old friends and classmates and entertain senior citizens. Due to this, many are convincing the appealing lad to enter politics but he is not keen to.

“I have no plan!” he avers. “For me, it’s a huge joy to share your blessings with people especially in our province which was devastated by recent typhoons. It’s all help and I’m not asking anything in return. I would rather focus my attention on my showbiz career.”

Instead of politics, Ejay dreams of finishing his studies.

“As long as I haven’t finished schooling, I don’t want to enter something which I’m not yet equipped to handle like politics.”

In fact, the Sandugo lead star is already contemplating on going back to College after his hit soap opera makes its curtain call.

“I think that’s the only thing that’s lacking in me: a College degree. I really intend to pursue my studies in the coming days. I will just fix my work schedule. After Sandugo, I will find time to go back to school,” ends Ejay.
