If ever Andi Eigenmann decides to be active again on the showbiz scene, her elder brother Gabby prefers that she becomes part of GMA-7 where he is a contract star.
“It’s not actually to guard or look after her,” he says. “Andi’s already of age. I just want to see her working again in a field which she loves dearly.”
It is public knowledge that the actress decided to lie low from the ‘biz and opted to lead a quiet life in Baler where she spends most of the time surfing.
“I understand, that’s her thing. It’s her new passion. But hey, at the end of the day, she still has to work. How would she feed herself and her daughter? That’s why it would be a joy to see her acting again.
“Of course, I cannot claim that the public misses her. Some might even agree with her decision to make a temporary hiatus. But personally, I miss seeing her working and shining in showbiz which is her first love, anyway.”
Gabby reveals that Andi plans to make money out of her latest hobby.
“She loves the waters. She bought a property in Baler fronting the beach. But based on our last talk, she would transform it into business, like Airbnb. Well, at least, it’ll earn. But it’s still different seeing her act before the cameras. Anyway, she told me she also misses acting so, let’s see,” he avers.
As of now, Andi is a freelancer but is still under contract with Viva.
“Actually, GMA has guesting offers for her but didn’t materialize because they coincided with her surfing schedules. It’s good she was able to appear in one recent episode of ‘Celebrity Bluff.’ That’s a good start.”
Where does his desire for his sister to become a Kapuso come from?
“Actually, there was a time when all the Eigenmanns were here in GMA and she’s the only one left in the rival station. Now, some are with ABS-CBN already. I was thinking, if all of us were in the Kapuso lot, maybe, the management can come up with an idea of letting all of us top-bill one drama series in the mold of ‘Cebu’ way back in the early ‘90s. Who knows, right? That will be fun!”
Still, the Contessa mainstay knows that the final say will come from Andi.
“Yes, at the end of the day, it’s still her call. I’m just here to help her get her mojo back, so to speak. I believe that when she’s finally ready, things will just happen naturally,” ends Gabby.

According to Sunshine Cruz, she and current steady Macky Mathay are not in a hurry to jump into marriage at this point.
“We just want to take things one step at a time. What’s important is we understand each other’s priorities. You see, there are still a number of things we have to fix before we can think of a nuptial,” she states.
The Kapag Nahati ang Puso female lead insists that there’s no cause for alarm.
“Macky knows that I’m busy both with my work and role as mother to my kids. He’s very supportive of me, one thing which I really like in him. I’m grateful that there’s someone like him who looks after my welfare as well as my children. As I’ve pointed out earlier, we’re happy where we are now so we would just like to enjoy every moment of it.”
Interestingly, how would she describe Macky as a boyfriend?
“He’s not the jealous type. He’s a very confident guy. We mutually agreed not to fight on petty things. For one, it’s tiring, right? And I think we’re too old for that already,” says Sunshine.
