According to Ian Veneracion, there’s no truth to the circulating rumor that he’ll leave ABS-CBN and transfer to GMA soon.

“That’s crazy!” he avers.

Speculation started when talent manager Perry Lansigan (who’s closely associated with the Kapuso network) recently posted in his social media account a photo in which he was having dinner with him and GMA executive Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable.

“The reason is that we’re neighbors in our subdivision so he invited me and I obliged. But that’s just it, no more, no less,” he clarifies.

The actor is very much secured with his current home studio.

“I’m happy with ABS-CBN. I’m getting meaty roles. They’ve been supportive of me so there’s no reason for me to even think of leaving. In fact, I have an upcoming movie under Star Cinema. It’s in the planning stage already. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m very much okay being a Kapamilya. I’m grateful for their kindness,” he adds.

Apart from acting, Ian is also busy with his singing career. He has a forthcoming concert at the Grand Pacific Ballroom of the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu on April 21, Ian in 3 Acts.

“That’s right! This is the reason why I kind of lied low on acting of late. I want to be prepared. Of course, it required my full concentration.”

The good-looking star is leaving no stones unturned just to ensure that his concert will be greatly appreciated by the public.

“I don’t want to shortchange them with a mediocre performance. I told myself that if I would do this, it has to be right. I ought to find the band that would complement my singing. And since it would be staged live, I have to polish each number. I want the show to be unforgettable to the audience,” states Ian.

Anne Curtis reacts to the rumor that she will play the main antagonist Valentina in the latest Darna silver screen reboot top-billed by Liza Soberano.

“Honestly, I’ve been hearing that rumor but I haven’t received any offer yet. Let’s just wait and see in the coming days,” she says.

Is it just okay with her to play a ‘contravida’ to Liza considering her leading lady status and the fact that she also headlined another Mars Ravelo classic which is Dyesebel?

“Why not? Given the opportunity, I will do it. It’s challenging. Actually, Darna has lots of interesting nemesis that’s exciting to portray apart from the snake woman Valentina. Like Elektra, the leader of the planet women. I think it’s also a colorful character to breathe life to.”

Meanwhile, when asked about her baby plans with husband Erwann Heussaff, the lovely It’s Showtime host states that she doesn’t want to be under pressure with the thought.

“It will come in God’s time. And when that moment comes, I’ll be very happy because a baby is a blessing,” ends Anne.

“Yes! We started taping recently and it was so much fun. Billy (Crawford) is still hosting while I’m one of the judges along with Gary (Valenciano) and Sharon (Cuneta). They’re always a joy to work with. No dull moments,” he says.

How about the youngsters who are participating this season?

“Oh, they’re superb! I just won’t pinpoint but I’m certain viewers will love them!”

Meanwhile, when asked about wife Regine Velasquez, the singer-TV host-comedian reveals they’re fine and still get to do shows together.

“That’s right! Despite the fact that we belong to rival networks, we have the chance to perform together in corporate shows which is cool,” says Ogie.
