Janice de Belen is happy and proud to be part of the latest GMA prime time offering titled, Destined to be Yours (premiering tonight after Encatadia) featuring the phenomenal AlDub love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

“And who wouldn’t be? It’s a grand project which features one of contemporary ‘biz’s most popular and sought-after screen tandems. I have a feeling that this will become a certified chart-topper. I’m fortunate that this serves as my homecoming soap for the Kapuso network. I know that they have a sure winner on this one,” she says.

Apart from Alden and Maine, the soap, which is under the helm of Irene Villamor also boasts a competent cast.

“We have the veterans and the reliable like Ms. Boots Anson-Rodrigo, Gardo Versoza, Lotlot de Leon, Ina Feleo, Ronnie Henares and Mr. Tommy Abuel plus the young Kapuso stars Dominic Roco, Sheena Halili, Juancho Triviño, Koreen Medina, and RJ Padilla. You see, it’s a nice mixture of talents. The story is also one that is sure to appeal to the fans so, what more can you ask for?”

Asked about the show’s lead stars, Janice is hats-off to AlDub’s work attitude and ethics.

“Their professionalism is laudable. They exude natural warmth and chemistry on and off-screen which makes their tandem charming. Maine and Alden don’t need to have a put-on just to make their followers believe that they’re sweet or something. What they show the public is what they really feel about each other. It’s simply awesome.”

Does she believe that the two will eventually end up with each other in real life?

“Well, in any love team, that’s the fans’ ultimate wish—for their on screen romance to become a reality. I’ve been through that phase as well. With Alden and Maine, they work perfectly together. If they will become lovers for real, it’s a big bonus for their supporters. Of course, they will be very delighted when that happens.

“But in case they will not become real-life partners, they can still woo their fans with their unparalleled chemistry as I was pointing out a while ago. Sometimes, it’s good to see a screen pair that just works nice together, like Cong. Vilma Santos-Recto and Mr. Christopher de Leon. They need not be romantically involved to draw the admiration of the fans. As for Alden and Maine, it’s still early to tell but personally, I find their love team cute,” ends Janice.

According to Gerald Anderson, he and Bea Alonzo enjoy each other’s company and are not hastening things to become an official couple.

“Yes, we don’t want to rush things,” he avers. “As of now, we just enjoy going out together. There are lots of things we discover about each other in each passing day. I also learn so many lessons from her and I hope she also gets some from me. It’s nice to have someone whom you can share your thoughts, aspirations and dreams with!”

Does he feel inspired with Bea’s presence in his life at this point?

“Oh, of course! In the first place, that’s the main reason why you go out on a date with someone, right?”

Many ask if by the time they become an item, they will reveal it to the public.

“I don’t see anything wrong with that. You may see me as a private guy. When it comes to love life, I’m not really that open. But if this thing I have with Bea will really become deeper, I will not certainly hide it,” Gerald states.
