While the new coronavirus pandemic put on hold the activities of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 search, it has not dampened the spirit of bubbly, 26-year-old Danica Joy Peralta Acuña, one of the most promising candidates among this year’s batch.
Dani, a freelance model and Theater Arts graduate of Miriam College, advocates promotion of the importance of education and children empowerment through art, like engaging kids in the art of puppetry or ventriloquy, a skill that she learned when she met a puppeteer.
“I want to be remembered in my journey in Binibini as the friendliest candidate. I think my edge over the other girls is my bubbly personality,” Dani said during the meet-and-greet dinner held for her recently at the Penthouse of Platinum 1000.
A runner up at Miss Scuba Philippines and former Miss Philippines Earth candidate, Dani looks up to Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray as her role model and inspiration.
The beauty from Romblon is most proud of her mother’s hometown where she is spending the pageant’s break while the entire Luzon is under enhanced community quarantine. She hopes that the world would soon discover the anti-vaccine to contain the dreaded contagion.
