Man of the World Philippines 2021 Nadim Elzein and Runway Model Universe Philippines 2022 Junichi Yabushita are set to compete in the 4th Man of the World and 1st Runway Model Universe pageants, respectively.
A send-off party was held at B Hotel in Quezon City on Saturday organized by Misters of Filipinas/PEPPS, led by its president Carlo Morris Galang, in cooperation with Runway Model Universe founder Virgilio Cabillan and national director Marianne Galang.
Elzein, a 23-year-old former UAE-based model and graduate of International Travel and Tourism Management, will play host-candidate to some 30-plus delegates from around the world arriving next month. Ray Casa group of companies, headed by CEO Jennelyn Floresca, organizer of Man of the World, is bringing the pageant up north to help promote the beauty, culture, and tradition of the Cordillera province. Finals will be held at the Baguio Convention Center, Baguio City on June 18.
Yabushita, a 26-year-old student of Veterinary Medicine and a registered nutritionist, will compete in Runway Model Universe 2022, a Canadian-based pageant that decided to hold its first international edition in the Philippines, culminating on May 28.
Elzein’s and Yabushita’s national costumes will be made by Filipino designers Patrick Isorena and Alan Camarin Dela Fuente, respectively.

Inaugural Mrs. Universe Official to be held in Manila
The inaugural Mrs. Universe Official pageant will feature some 70 candidates from all over the world to be held in Manila in October 2022. To be produced and presented by Megastar Production, headed by Ovette Ricalde, Mrs. Universe, a pageant exclusive for married women, is based in Australia and owned by philanthropist Maryrose Salubre.
A series of preliminary competitions will determine the 20 semi-finalists to be announced during the finals in Okada Manila on October 9. Aside from the Mrs. Universe Official winner, five other titles are at stake, namely, Mrs. Charity Queen, Mrs. Diamond, Mrs. Sapphire, Mrs. Ruby, and Mrs. Topaz.
Mrs. Universe Asia 2022 Monique Cantalejo Rivera and Mrs. Universe Australia 2022 Christine Escalante graced the grand launching held Saturday at Pandan Asian Café. Mrs. Universe pageant aims to discover the world’s most outstanding married woman who is looking to make a difference and make her mark in the world.
