Miss Caloocan 2019 Shannon Tampon will represent the Philippines in the prestigious Miss Elite 2022 pageant set in Egypt from June 10 to 18. Due to the proximity of the pageant, Tampon was hand-picked and officially crowned by ProMedia Philippines.
Together with Hiyas ng Pilipinas, Tampon was introduced to the media during a sashing and crowning ceremony held at the Laurel House in Mandaluyong City on February 20.
The 5-foot-7 beauty was a Marketing Graduate and is currently pursuing a BS Mechanical Engineering degree. She loves rescuing stray animals and is an advocate against animal cruelty. She was runner-up in Miss Philippines Earth 2019 and a finalist in Miss Bikini Philippines 2019.
“Her dedication to train and varied experience in the pageant industry through the years are enough testimonials for us to say that she is crown-worthy,” said national director Eva Patalinjug.
Miss Elite, now in its second year, is organized by Stefano Douaihy and will feature more than 40 countries around the world to vie as successor of reigning Miss Elite Fernanda Pumar of Mexico.
