Reigning Mrs. Philippines World Meranie Gadiana Rahman is finally competing in Mrs. World 2022 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada, two years after winning the title in Paris, France in October 2019.

Rahman will be vying for the crown with more than fifty amazing women from all over the world in the finals set on Jan. 15 in Las Vegas resort & Casino.

A print model, mother of a 4-year-old boy, Rahman has been based in Hawaii and arrived in the country in November last year. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management, she was awarded as Most Influential Woman of the Year by Gawad America in North Hollywood.

Meranie Gadiana Rahman was crowned in France and now vying for the Mrs. World 2022 title in Las Vegas.

Growing up as a farmer’s daughter from Cagayan de Oro City, Rahman experienced bullying in school. She was married when she suffered from postpartum depression but was able to overcome it by joining a local pageant, as suggested by her husband, Dr. Inam UR Rahman, a medical doctor and a pageant coach. Dr. Rahman, who is also very passionate about the depression, is now the new national director of Mrs. World Philippines and has named postpartum depression awareness as the national pageant’s official advocacy.

Rahman opened a non-profit organization called “You Are Loved Foundation for Postpartum Depression Awareness” after completing an online certification course on postpartum depression.

“I’m a survivor of postpartum depression and I know how serious and lethal this kind of depression can be which has taken the lives of millions of people around the world. Coming out of postpartum depression has changed my life and has empowered me to save lives that I have been able to touch and educate. I spoke in TV, radio, online news media and gave lectures on postpartum depression in public before the pandemic,’ Rahman said.

Rahman was in Cagayan de Oro when typhoon Odette struck. She said that it was heartbreaking to see the destruction her province suffered which included her multi-million farm trees. She helped in distributing relief goods to the victims of the super typhoon.

“I am honored and excited to represent my beautiful country as Mrs. Philippines World at Mrs. World,” said Rahman who loves all Filipina beauty queens, especially, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

You can still help Meranie win an automatic Top 15 slot via online voting for the “Fabulous Face” until Jan. 10, 2022.  Meranie ranks number 7 as of this writing.
