That “life begins at 40” statement rings true for all. It’s interesting that others proclaim that 40 is the new 20 because to look young than your actual age is no longer impossible.
A living and beautiful proof to this pronouncement is the force behind Skin Magical, its powerful head Ghie Pangilinan who became part of the fabulous 40 club early last month.
While the country is still in the quarantine period due to the pandemic, Pangilinan continues to make her birthday celebration more meaningful by making others feel her love.
“I opted to celebrate my most treasured day with the elderly being taken care of at the Haven for the Elderly in Tanay, Rizal.” Pangilinan begins. “It felt good to distribute bags of groceries and bundles of assorted clothes and give them to each lolo and lola. Teary eyed sila, ang hihigpit ng mga yakap. You can see in their eyes na they were so happy. My heart was so full of love dahil they were appreciative of what we brought them. They were also delighted with our salo-salo.”
Pangilinan’s celebration with the elderly is now in its 6th year. She regularly sends them food and medicine, without fail and this quarantine season. She is more attentive to the needs of the elderly under her care.
Also worth mentioning, she made Christmas early this September for over 400 Skin Magical employees were likewise treated to a special feast during her birthday shindig and she also distributed sacks of rice to her neighbors and to all the tricycle drivers of Sitio Butig, Brgy San Pedro in Morong, Rizal, where the manufacturing plant of her beauty products is located.
More surprises during her birthday include gifts from celebrity endorsers of her various brands like Dimples Romana, Jolina Magdangal, Joseph Marco, Anna Cay, Lars Pacheco, DJ Loonyo, Tim and China, Viy Cortez, Cong TV, and Agsunta, JaMill, Mannex, and Ivana Alawi.
Incidentally, Skin Magical celebrates its fifth anniversary with the formal launch of Maja Salvador, and Joseph Marco as latest ambassadors.
