In an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda’s The Purple Chair on Dec. 10, singer Angeline Quinto confirmed that she’s five months pregnant with her non-showbiz boyfriend.
In the interview, which now has been viewed more than 1.5 million times on YouTube, the popular host asked the 32-year-old singer-actress about her Instagram post “New Life, Chapter One” back in November.
“Kaya ko na-post iyon dahil kay Mama Bob (I posted that because of Mama Bob),” Angeline said, referring to the first death anniversary of her adoptive mother, Sylvia Quinto.
“At pangalawa po kasi magiging nanay na rin ako (And also because I’m going to become a mother myself),” she carried on disclosing that she’s due April 2022.
Despite confirming her pregnancy, Angeline remains tight-lipped on the identity of her non-showbiz boyfriend whom she’s been with for more than a year now noting that her romantic life is something that she wants to keep private.
Throughout the 35-minute interview, Angeline shared that the father is a few years younger than her, and that he has kids from a previous relationship.
Angeline learned about her pregnancy in September and was in complete shock. She said she didn’t know how to read pregnancy tests.
“Natakot ako [nung] una kasi sa totoo lang, hindi ko nga alam tingnan yung positive at negative sa pregnancy test. Tas nung ni-research ko, dalawang [linya] nga pala yung positive,” she recounted.
Angeline's admittance came just weeks after speculations of her being pregnant circulated on social media and while she’s celebrating her 10th year in showbiz.
Angeline recently headlined her own show at the ongoing Expo 2020 in Dubai, UAE. The concert is part of the many musical shows and concerts in the six-month-long event.
