Eat Bulaga host and comedienne Ruby Rodriguez took to Instagram to express her grief over the death of her elder sister, Dr. Sally Gatchalian, who was tested positive for COVID-19.
Gatchalian, who was the head of the Philippine Pediatric Society and was also an assistant director at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), is the 9th doctor to pass away in the Philippines after testing positive for the deadly virus.
Last week, the television host said her sister was confined at a hospital.
"She is weak but stable," the actress wrote on Twitter.
On her Instagram post today, Rodriguez shared a photo of Gatchalian and her siblings saying in her caption that it was their last Christmas as a whole family.
“My sister, Manang sally, this is our Christmas 2019 family picture. Finally were complete,” Rodriguez said in the caption.
“I love you so much my big sister, smile say hi to Mom Dad and Manong Robert. Be at peace do not worry about us anymore. Have fun in heaven! Love you so much!!!” she ended.
