Present during the contract signing were GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon, president and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., EVP  and CFO Felipe S. Yalong, and SVP for News and Public Affairs Marissa L. Flores. Joining them were Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angela Javier Cruz and Assistant Vice President for Corporate Communications Jojo Aquino.

A loyal Kapuso since 1996, Tiangco co-anchors GMA’s flagship newscast 24 Oras and also hosts the award-winning drama anthology  Magpakailanman. On top of her TV stint, she concurrently serves as the founder and ambassador of GMA Kapuso Foundation, the Network’s socio-civic arm.

Tiangco shares how grateful she is with the Network’s management and looks forward to more years of providing Serbisyong Totoo.

Gozon equally shared how fortunate GMA is to have Tiangco as a Kapuso. Kaya naman talagang we are lucky to have Mel Tiangco with us,” he says.

The Kapuso news pillar is the first broadcast journalist to receive the Rotary Peace Award in 2019, the highest award given by the Rotary International District 3830. Last Feb. 12, Tiangco was hailed the 2020 Distinguished Woman of Service Award by the San Beda University Alumni Association.
