OPM singer Klarisse De Guzman publicly came out as bisexual during the Wednesday night episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.
During a task led by celebrity houseguest Michelle Dee, where housemates were asked to open up about common misconceptions they face. Klarisse took the opportunity to share a part of her identity she had long kept private.“Sa tingin ko ito na yung time para sabihin sa inyong lahat and to tell the world that I’m not straight. I am bi,” the singer told her fellow housemates.Klarisse also revealed that she has been in a relationship for four years with her partner, Trina. Fighting back tears, she spoke about the quiet support she has received from her loved ones—particularly her late father, who knew about her identity before his passing, and her mother, who has embraced her with full acceptance.“Yung kinekwento ko sa inyo na may four years akong partner… Yes, I have a partner for four years. Her name is Trina,” she said. “Ang kasama ng Mama ko ngayon is her. And I guess, komportable na akong sabihin sa inyong lahat—with Michelle Dee pa. And I miss her. Sobrang swerte ko lang talaga kasi tanggap ako ng parents ko,” she added.Klarisse said that while some relatives were already aware of her sexuality, she hadn’t publicly come out in her career as a performer—until now.“Bilang celebrity nga, hindi ko pa nasasabi sa work ko.
