Miss Global Philippines 2023, Empress Pearl Hung, is set to compete in Miss Global 2023 in Cambodia. Hung, who grew up as an orphan in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, had to overcome life’s challenges. With courage and determination, she triumphed and became a successful businesswoman.
A self-made woman, 30-year-old Hung is the founder of the Elites Empire, a business community of “passionate and modern entrepreneurs who seek to change lives by ultimate dream. It has grown rapidly and now includes members from all over the world.”
Hung, an advocate for financial literacy education in the Philippines, authored inspirational inspirational books namely The Breakthrough Book and #Pearl Notes – Magical Insights of Awareness.
“To represent my country, is already an accomplishment for me, but I believe in the exponential effect that life can give us, and as we represent the Philippines on a larger scale, I am aiming for an accomplishment to another accomplishment,” Hung posted in her official Facebook.
Hung, Miss World Philippines 2018 Second Princess, was appointed by Pauline Sofia Laping, national director of Miss Global Philippines, and was crowned by reigning Miss Global 2022 Shane Tormes. She undergoes rigid training under Kagandahang Flores led by Rodgil Flores. She now aims for a back-to-back win in Miss Global 2023 which features more than 30 candidates from around the world. The pre-pageant will be held in Vietnam and Indonesia, while the coronation finals will be in Cambodia in January 2024.
